Crafted from feather-light organic cotton and hand block printed in India using traditional wooden blocks, The Ritual Kimono is designed to be lived in.
Lighter than our signature sari kimonos, it moves effortlessly between home and away. Wear it as a luxurious dressing gown, a beach cover-up, a poolside layer or simply thrown over your everyday essentials.
A piece to throw on after a swim, wear while getting ready for dinner or wrap yourself in with your first coffee of the day.
Hand block printed by female artisans in India using centuries-old techniques, each kimono helps support sustainable livelihoods, preserve traditional craftsmanship and create meaningful opportunities for women and their families.
Small variations in colour and print are not flaws, but part of the beauty of something made slowly, by hand.

Our beautiful organic block prints have been thoughtfully brought to life by an inspiring collective of women on the outskirts of Jaipur.
Our block-printing warriors have made the brave decision to better their lives by joining Anoothi, an organisation who’s mission is to “progress Indian women through economic empowerment”. By providing vocational training and employment in traditional Indian handcraft techniques such as block printing, Kantha stitch and tassel making, these women are able to enhance their standard of living, sense of dignity and independence, choosing to carve out an alternative life to the bleak path many vulnerable and oppressed women may otherwise find themselves on.
Every part of the packaging has been mindfully thought through to be kind to the planet.
Your order is packaged with tree-free recycled cotton paper postcards, and soy-based, compostable tissue paper and a recyclable eco postal box. Even our embossed stickers are wood-free and completely biodegradable.

When I first saw the ‘If Saris Could Talk’ kimonos on Instagram, I was hooked. But I was not prepared me for how beautiful they are in real life - the vibrant colours, the flow of the fabric, the lineage, the connection with rural India. I love wearing it and feeling close to the artisans who made it and connected to the women who wore it as a sari. If a kimono could be described as spiritual, then that is how this feels. I bought this a few days after receiving my first kimono because I loved it so much, and I love this one too - it's perfect in every way: the sizing, the weight, the length of the sleeves & bodice - I don't think it could be better if it was made specifically for me (it feels like it was, anyway - but that's beside the point!)
